The Chicago Cubs beat the first place Texas Rangers, 5-4 on Sunday afternoon and will head back to Wrigley Field with their first winning road trip of the season. Carlos Silva pitched another fantastic game for the North Siders and improved his record to a perferct 6-0 for the 2010 season.

The Cubs’ right-handed starter, Carlos Zambrano will return to the five-man rotation sometime in the near future. Manager Lou Piniella has decided to reinsert Zambrano into the rotation after the $18 million dollar “starter” for the Cubs spent the last three weeks swimming in murky waters of middle relief.

Cubs’ top rookie prospect Starlin Castro broke a Major League record last night in Cincinnati by being the first player in history to record six RBIs during his first game in the majors. Castro went 2-5 with a three-run homer in his first at-bat as a Cub, followed by a three-run triple in his very next plate appearance. The shortstop Castro, was called up on Friday from Double-A Tennessee to give the Cubs a much needed boost offensively.
