A 13-year-old passed away after suffering from internal bleeding following intercourse. The 13-year-old, a Yemen bride, was married off by her family to a 23-year-old man and died only 4 days after the wedding. Many are appalled by this event.

Twitter user, Matthew Dawes commented that, “this is about as wrong as wrong will ever get.”

This is not the only case of child brides in Yemen, as there isn’t a set minimum age to marry. According to the UN, one in three girls are married before the age of 18 in Yemen, leaving child brides to be a common practice.

People are horrified by the idea of child brides.

On Twitter, Charlotte Chelsom commented that, “this is absolutely horrendous.”

Twitter user, bjr70, said, “Something must be done to stop this.”

Will news of this child bride cause people to fight against it? Josh Luxmoore tweeted, “there’s something seriously wrong with some people.”
