Rapper T.I. Appears On Larry King: Has Jail Changed T.I?

This past week Rapper T.I. did his first Interview on CNN’s Larry King Live since being released from jail in December 2009. Many of T.I’s fans tuned into see if jail changed T.I. and what he has in store for the future.

In 2009, T.I was sentenced to serve a year and a day in jail, this comes after officials discovered that he had given his body guard $12,000 to purchase illegal firearms. CNN reported that the rapper was not allowed to have firearms because of a 1998 felony convictions of drug possession.

This won’t be the first time we see rap artists go to jail and serve time, but do many learn lessons from the crime committed and the time served? In the last decade we have seen very popular rappers go to jail, Lil’Kim, Gucci Mane, Foxy Brown and Lil Wayne who was recently incarcerated for weapon possession.

Bombox which is an aggrerator site with rss feeds on hip-hop news and r&b news, also included T.I. on the list of 10 Rappers Jailed. The Larry King interview with the rapper gave many fans a surreal look into his life and some very emotional periods he faced.

Many fans tweeted about the rapper’s future as well commended him on how poised and intelligent he appeared as he interviewed with Larry King.
