With a sold out show floor and higher registration numbers than last year, NCA estimates the 14th annual show was one of largest, best attended trade events in the association’s history. Trade customer attendance increased 12 percent over 2009.

Rima Fakih, 24,of Dearborn, Michigan, is the newly crowned Miss USA as of Sunday night. While many tweets on Twitter are referring to Fakih as the first Arab- American winner of the annual Miss USA pageant, the Associated Press reports the lack of detailed records to prove whether or not Fakih is the first Arab-American, Muslim or immigrant winner of the Miss USA competition.
