Making it work when college grads move back home is easily said then done. CBS 2 News did a special on the Early Saturday Show with Dr. Janet Taylor, a psychiatrist who gave tips on how to make it work with college graduates.

Dr. Taylor’s tips appeared to be very helpful and even achievable for both the parent and the college kid. For me moving back home after graduating from undergrad was a bit challenging and at times unbearable. I eventually learned that I would either have to move or I would drive myself crazy, because my mom was being too much of a parent.

I moved out on my own for two years but came back home after I realized I needed to save money and the real world proved to be tougher than I expected.  However I was pleasantly surprise to see that some of the tips and advice Dr. Taylor shared on CBS, I was already following.

The Chicago Blackhawks continued their Stanley Cup run with a 6-5 win in Chicago versus the Philadelphia Flyers. In the highest scoring playoff game since 1992 and the most watched Stanley Cup Finals game in 11 years, the Madhouse on Madison averaged 104 decibels, reaching a high at 121 during the National Anthem and 118 after Dave Bolland’s short-handed goal –  90 decibels of continuous noise can lead to a hearing loss, - according to the Bleacher Report.

Thursday’s game between the Chicago Fire and FC Dallas ended in a 1-1 draw after just under two hours of play. With Dallas scoring after only six minutes, the Fire had to fight back. Brian McBride tied the game for Chicago at 40 minutes with assists by Justin Mapp and Logan Pause. Winner of this season’s series claims the Brimstone Cup – Chicago hasn’t won since 2001.

American Idol contestant Lee DeWyze became the season nine winner on Wednesday, May 26 defeating fellow finalist Crystal Bowersox. The Mt. Prospect, Ill. native and former paint salesman took home the majority of votes cast after the finale.  During the final performances from the night before Twitter users gave their opinions of both singers after each of the final three rounds.
